Milling Services

CNC Milling:

In machining, milling is a reductive process that rotates a cutting tool while the part is secured in a vise or fixture while cutting away excess material. Cutting tools are fed nto the piece at carefully calculated locations and angles to create precision cuts to achieve a final design shape. Scrap material, known as chips, are directed away from the machine for recycling.

Milling machining centers offer an ideal method for producing prototypes and runs of any volume and shape of parts. In contrast, full machining centers offer high RPM spindles and automatic tool changing capabilities for higher-volume production. Our machine shop at Norcar Manufacturing includes two CNC milling centers, enabling us to provide single-source manufacturing services to customers across industries. We can work with an expansive range of materials, such as aluminum, die castings, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and steel.

Computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers offer versatility and precision to any machine shop. CNC machining centers provide the ability to conduct operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, and more. With operations on multiple axes, many of these functions can be performed simultaneously to shorten production time. With more advanced tooling capabilities than standard machine tools or lathes, CNC machine tools facilitate the high-volume production of geometrically complex components within tight tolerances.

Our Capabilities

At Norcar Manufacturing, our equipment portfolio includes the following CNC machining centers:

  • Fadal 6535 (65X35X30 travels)

  • Fadal 4020 - 4 Axis (40X20X28 travels)

The majority of our customers place repetitive orders that require multiple production runs. We offer competitive pricing that makes larger orders more affordable. We can also warehouse blanket orders and ship in smaller quantities to support lean inventory methodologies when needed.

We offer rush production on everything from prototyping to large-volume production runs, but most of the orders we work with are in the small to medium-volume range. Our machines operate 10 hours per day, allowing us to quickly turn around order volumes of any size. Our software-driven schedules allow us to operate at maximum efficiency.
